We showed up during lunch time without a booking, but the girls were very accommodating. We had our starters outside, then moved inside. Atmosphere is lovely.
The food was awesome, we tried the calamari and the spicy adobo ribs as starters. The ribs were melting off from the bone and really tasty.
The mains were also great. Soft meat, great flavors, not too spicy, perfect portion size.
Sadly had no time for desserts as we had to catch a train but if I’m in town again, I will be back!

It was my first time dining at Bruha and it did not disappoint. I was greeted warmly by Tanya who spoke in perfect Tagalog which caught me by surprise. She even know by heart the Filipino dishes they are serving and which ones to recommend.
I have made my order and Tanya whipped a thirst quenching Pandan Shake! It seems like I am back home near a beach sipping my drink.
My starter and main course are Tokwa't Baboy and Sinigang na Baboy with jasmine rice. Chef Jay caught me by surprise when he said, Gutom na, Salamat po and opo and other Tagalog words. It so happens that his mum is a Filipina. Both dishes tasted so nice especially the sinigang that it is like my mum's cooking. The perfect comfort food!
Chef's Jay mum, Tita Fe, was also there to bless my dining experience with her stories of her remarkable journey from the Philippines to the UK.
But ofcourse, it will not be a complete dinner without the pudding. I opted for the Ube Turon but Chef Jay brought an Ube Leche Flan on the house for me to try. Both were so delicious and the Ube flavour just hits the mark for me. The halaya on the bottom of the flan was exquisite.
My dining experience at Bruha felt like home. I will definitely come back and maybe with someone special in tow like what Tita Fe predicted. 😉- Service

Outstanding filipino restaurant in Brighton. Sitting only 5 minutes away from the beach, this restaurant has been, by far, the restaurant with the most tasteful filipino cuisine I ever tried in England. The weather was amazing, so we sat on the terrace. Aisha was beyond attentive, very dedicated, and super engaging. Whether the food comes in small portions, the food quality and flavour are on a level of any high cuisine restaurant in the region. Every single dish was powerful, crunchy, well cooked, well presented, and delightful on the palate. Very well done to the chef and the friendly, professional, and very receptive team. Highly recommended, I'll be back this summer.- Service

I love this place and the people that run it. It couldn't be better honestly. 3 came for a birthday meal and it was perfect. Highly recommend the tofu and mushroom sisig, the flavour is crazy good, plus the lil calamansi! Cocktails were great too, I had the gin and cherry 🍒 but the espresso one ☕ was 10/10. Tried some ube flan too for dessert 🍨 Its now 2am and I'm having the leftovers! Thank you will be back 🙏

I would certainly recommend this place if you are non-philipino and looking to try something different or missing Pilipino cuisine. The tofu and mushroom Sisig was a great vegetarian option while the BBQ skewers were also really tasty. Also the desserts especially Halo halo are a must. Adobo was a little sour/salty for my taste but otherwise great experience and would definitely recommend. :)

Well a surprise we popped in for a try.
We have had Filipino food before and been disappointed.
Pork belly and rice. With the various condiments.
The pork belly was short on flavour but excellently cooked.
But the sauces were delish and great accompaniment to the dish.
I really enjoyed the food overall and also tried the spicy pork belly in curry sauce which was like a Thai pork belly jungle curry.
This was great.
It was a great overall food experience.
And I used Amazon to find and buy the coconut vinegar they had.
I’m going to end up using that on everything.
Service was very friendly and smily.
Plenty of interesting dishes to come back and try.- Service

Really loved this place, stumbled on it and looked nice so tried them out. Food was really very good, cosy environment inside and staff were really nice. The pork was cooked so well with almost crackling skin on the edges. The chicken wings were also very tasty. We tried some of the other dishes and now this is a new favourite place to go in Brighton.

I’ve been to Filipino restaurants in almost every continent in the world and nothing compares to Bruha. I’m a traditional Filipino tattoo artist and every single time I’m in Brighton I recommend everyone to go here at least once. From comfort food to fine dining this is where I take all of my friends to eat from a long day at work to a fun night on time, this is the best Filipino food you can ever ask for. The staff is incredible, the food is amazing, the ONLY thing is that I wish they were open more days in a week. 5/5, 10/10 I love Bruha.- Group size

I was visiting Brighton with some close friends and my partner this past weekend, and was told to check out Bruha in Brighton so I knew I had to book it because where there is food from the homeland - I will go!
What I didn't expect was how I felt during and after the meal.
The minute you walk into Bruha; you get a sense of pride straight away and there were details that I picked up on that made me really think of Philippines.
Then the food arrived...and I pretty much spent the entire meal listening to my fiance and my friends (all non-filipino) making sounds and singing praise for the food that Jay had prepared.
Everything was perfect, not one dish faltered - (I had the chicken adobo and I was just in love from the first bite!). One of my favourite parts of the night was when my fiance ordered the Ube Leche Flan - I was too full and our friends had decided on drinks rather than dessert. But once the plate came out; a dessert for one became a dessert for three as our friends couldn't get over how delicious it was!
The service was amazing from beginning to end, Tania (I think that was her name?) was very hospitable and Jay was really lovely to talk to. Having read about his story before we visited, I could see the pride that he takes in his business and the heart that he puts into his dishes.
When we left the restaurant, I had a huge sense of Filipino pride in my heart and in my belly. We were still talking about the food the next day, and taking three non-filipino's to the restaurant who couldn't stop raving about the experience was amazing.
This trip to Bruha really made me proud to be Half Filipino and I hope it continues to go from strength to strength. Salamat Po Jay! 🇵🇭- Service

The mushroom calamari and tofu Tokwa were both must orders, and the sisig was great too (we had tofu and pork, both nice in their own way). Big portions too.
Highly recommend for meat eaters and vegans alike as the menu is super accommodating to every need. Really nice staff on top.- Service

Just had the most amazing meal at Bruha. We ordered all 6 starters between two of us instead of mains and the flavours were incredible; complex spices without too much heat. Tanya looked after us and her service style was genuine and attentive. Highly recommend, and we’ll be back!

As a Filipino, I always have high standards with food let alone filipino food but this restaurant hits the spot all the time. The best Ube shake there is even better than the ones in London. If you are looking for a mouth watering experience this is the place to visit. Two thumbs up! 👍👍
